Summary

Imagine a world where an empire uses powerful music to control its people and conquer others. Only two free tribes remain, and they're facing threats from both the empire and monstrous creatures that communicate with their own deadly music. The story follows a veteran general yearning for peace, a warrior and shaman on a mission to understand the enemy, and an ambitious noblewoman seeking to bend ancient magic to her will.  It's a tale of loyalty, betrayal, and the fight for freedom, all set in a richly imagined world filled with danger and wonder.

Reviews

‘THE STONE KNIFE has everything you’d hope for in a Stephens novel: sharp action, cracking pace, and a brutal disregard for our poor feelings. A compelling story of clashing cultures, of duty and ambition and change, that will leave you desperate for the next installment’- Sam Hawke, author of CITY OF LIES

‘An epic tale about the bloody repercussions of expansionism. THE STONE KNIFE explores the cruelty of empire through the eyes of characters from vastly different backgrounds, weaving a tapestry of conflict, injustice, and determination’- E.J. Beaton, author of THE COUNCILLOR PRAISE FOR THE GODBLIND TRILOGY
