Summary

Spicebag is more than just a takeaway, it’s a state of mind. Everything changes when a mysterious food cart appears in the small town of Ballybeg. The locals become obsessed with their mouthwatering spice bags, but soon the town descends into chaos. Dogs start talking, teenagers form a spicebag cult, and the parish priest begins preaching about chips as sacred offerings. At the center of it all is Mr Spicebag himself: a quiet, enigmatic figure with a hypnotic voice and the finest chili salt this side of the Shannon. As things spiral, one reluctant local must step up and ask the question no one dares: What’s really in the spicebag? A whirlwind of madness, satire, and magic, Mr Spicebag is a deliciously bizarre novel about modern Ireland, obsession, and food that might just be cursed.
