About Author

Fíona Scarlett hails from Dublin and currently resides in County Kildare, Ireland, with her husband and two children. She earned an MLitt in Creative Writing with distinction from the University of Glasgow and also holds a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Her debut novel, Boys Don’t Cry, achieved international bestseller status and was shortlisted for Newcomer of the Year at the Irish Book Awards, as well as the Kate O’Brien First Novel Award. In 2024, she was recognized as one of Ireland’s "New Voices: 20 Best New Irish Writers." Beyond her writing, Scarlett lectures in Creative Writing at the University of Limerick.
